The Destiny Of Dunsany
Most deities in Dungeons and Dragons follow a fairly simple polytheistic pattern: God of [Thing or People]. There’s a god for the elves, the orcs, the dwarves, sunshine, rain, you name it.
The Forgotten Gods are having none it. Gods of concepts forgotten by the mortal world, or of ideas or peoples that never existed, or those who don’t have any portfolio whatsoever.
While these gods in theory exist, nobody is nuts enough to worship one of them, and talking about them in polite company is something of a scandal. Baron Dunsany thinks he knows something about these strange beings that no one else does.
